PDAC 2017
Since his appointment in August, of 2009, Senator Patterson has attended the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada¡¯s (PDAC) convention in Toronto, ON, Canada.

2017 marks the 7th year that Senator Patterson has attended what is known globally as the world¡¯s premier event for people, companies and organization in, or connected with, mineral exploration and finance. Over the years, PDAC has shifted offered thoughtful, well-organized, and insightful programming that draws attention to important aspects of the mining industry such as Aboriginal involvement, infrastructure deficits, and community engagement.

This year, Senator Patterson was privileged to help organize and host a roundtable as part the official March 5, 2017 Government Day program, entitled ¡°Infrastructure to Unlock the Resource Potential of the North¡±. Over 50 participants attended, representing federal and provincial/territorial governments, Inuit organizations, industry, and various other stakeholders.

On March 6, 2017, Senator Patterson was also invited to speak at the annual Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated Luncheon.
